What is Seichim?
Seichim (generally pronounce say-keem or say – sheem, although opinions vary) is a form of Universal Energy Healing, closely related to Reiki. It heals on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, and focuses on the heart as the centre. It is mainly delivered using the hands.
Seichem isn’t linked in with any particular religion or faith, so it can be received by anyone.
Seichim is generally used as interchangeable words for the same thing, coming from words for energy from different languages. It was re-discovered by Patrick Zeigler in 1980 when he had a life changing experience spent overnight in a sarcophagus in the king’s chamber of a pyramid in Egypt. This is a great story and worth reading if you have a spare few minutes.
The basis of Seichim is the interconnectedness of things and the love that binds things together. It uses the four elements: air (angelic light), fire (sakara), earth (reiki) and water (sophi-el).

How does Seichim work?
Seichim has very varied uses. It can be used to keep you fit and healthy if you are already well, and it can be used alongside traditional medicine to aid recovery from illnesses. It can accelerate the body’s natural healing processes, ease pain, bring about a sense of calm, and help to control addictive patterns, help with sleep patterns and promote a sense of vitality! As well as being used to help with the stresses of daily life, Seichim can be used to treat stress conditions including headaches and insomnia, serious illnesses like cancers and heart disease and emotional problems like depression.
It is often used to enhance traditional medicine enabling them to work to their fullest. It is safe to use in pregnancy and with children, babies, the elderly and the ill. You remain dressed during a Seichim session.
The practitioner will place their hands either on or just above you in various positions. The way the treatment feels is unique to each person, but some describe it as a warm tingling or a coolness. Some people feel very calm and sleep afterwards.
