Rose qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1987 and completed her B.Sc. Hons (Nursing Studies), UCC in 1997. She has been providing mental health support and care to adults with disabilities and adults with mental health problems in the HSE, Adult Mental Health Services for 25 years and has extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health problems.

She completed her Higher Diploma (Counselling Studies), UCC in 2000 and has developed a warm, empathic, non-judgemental, person-centred approach as a therapist from her counselling background. She is fully qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist completing her 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, UCC in 2021. She is fully accredited with the British and Irish Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and has been providing individual CBT treatment to her clients in the adult mental health services and her private practice since 2021.

During the therapy process, Rose works closely with her clients to develop a warm, understanding, non-judgemental, therapeutic relationship that guides her clients towards a deeper understanding of their problem, how it developed and how it is maintained. She is committed to providing good quality, research supported CBT treatment in line with her clients’ personal therapy goals.

Rose offers individual, in-person sessions in Ashdale House, Blarney on Wednesday evenings.
